Programs
The East Hampton Soccer Club (EHSC) offers the following programs:

EHSC Town League
EHSC Travel League

EHSC Grades 6-8 Program (see below)

EHSC Town League

The EHSC Town League is designed to promote the game of soccer in the maximum number of youth through recreation-level games. The EHSC Town League provides organized games and training for the casual and beginning player and coach. Participation in the EHSC Town League involves modest cost and commitment level with little or no regard for results of games. The objective of the Town League program is for the players to enjoy the game while developing their skills and an appreciation and understanding of the game of soccer. Participation in the EHSC Town League play can be a basis for advancement into the travel league.

The Town League Program schedules two sessions per year. Sessions are approximately eight weeks long and are scheduled in the Fall and Spring.

League Divisions
Kindergarten
Juniors: 1st and 2nd grade
Seniors: 3rd, 4th and 5th grade

Team divisions– with regard to age and gender— are made based strictly on number of participants. Changes in divisions/age groupings can be made by the Town League Program Director based on team sizes, player size, and player skill. Town League teams practice once a week and play games, in town, on Saturday mornings in the fall and Sunday afternoons in the spring. Registration for the Fall session is held in June. Registration for the Spring session is in February. The Spring session runs April thru June.

EHSC Travel League

The EHSC Travel League is designed to promote the game of soccer for the more competitive player. Travel League players begin to hone age-appropriate individual and team skills necessary to compete successfully at soccer at age 8, and continue through high school.

The East Hampton Soccer Club is a member of the Central District of the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association. EHSC travel teams participate in District league play for boys and girls ages 9-19. The Travel League offers a more competitive level of play, exposing participants to the best players in local towns and clubs.

Participation in the EHSC League requires more of a commitment from both players and parents. Travel teams practice once or twice during the week (depending on coach and field availability) and play one or two games weekly for a 9-10 week season with periodic tournament play. Travel League teams have the option of participating in two winter indoor sessions beginning in November and January. The Travel League features full uniforms, team experience, and a higher level of coaching knowledge. There are costs associated with participation in the Travel League beyond the seasonal registration fees. These include: uniform fee, indoor fees, tournament fees.

SPRING & FALL SEASONS - COME JOIN THE FUN!

The East Hampton Soccer Club is offering an extension of their K- grade 5 program. This program is specifically for players in grades 6-8.  This is an exciting new program which started in the Fall 2007 and created a great environment for the kids who were not in the Travel Program. Recreational soccer is a great place for the kids of East Hampton to enjoy the game of soccer and continue with their Town League play. The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the sport and develop life skills including a life long love of the game.

Recreational soccer is defined in the common mind by what it is not and not what it is. A similar situation exists in the definition of amateur versus professional athletes.

Recreational soccer: Is that soccer program that is primarily devoted to the enjoyment and development of soccer players without the emphasis on travel or high level competition.  The purpose of recreational soccer is to provide an opportunity for the participants to have fun, learn the sport and develop life skills including a life long love of the game.

Recreational Player - a player who is randomly assigned to a team without regard to his/her abilities and skills.

Recreational Team - teams formed randomly with all players registered to play soccer.

Recreational League - leagues composed of teams formed in a random manner.

The Town League Senior Program does require limited travel and is generally a six to eight week program. There are two programs which coordinate at the same time the Town League programs commence and end. There is one practice during the week ( 1 ½ hours per night). Games can be one or two per weekend.  With any sport at this age level the commitment to the program and fellow team participants is what makes “The East Hampton Soccer Community” one of the best in the State. Please come and join the fun, excitement and team spirit.  Registration dates are posted and are the same as the entire Town League, Fall registration is usually first two weeks of June while Spring registration is in February.
